Finally, Ipsy time!
I felt like it took a lot longer to get my bag this month because the holiday kept it from being put in my box...so long.
Anyways, the theme this month was #ipsyLove and this is what I got in my February Ipsy bag!
1. The bag
It's very....pink. That's not really surprising because February revolves around the color, but I'm not a big pink fan. I feel like one of my sisters or friends would enjoy it and use it more than I would. It's still very cute and sturdy (it's similar to the December bad in texture & build), but I probably won't use it.
2. Luxie Beauty Large Angled Face Brush
This is full size and is worth $16, so you basically pay for your bag and then some. The bristles are really soft and seems like it would hold up well. The handle is like a rose gold-pink, so that's interesting. I have several brushes like this one already, so I'm not 100% sure if I'll keep it.
3. Mitchell & Peach Fine Radiance Face Oil
The sample size is 10ml and the full size is 20ml and is worth about $34. So I feel like it's a decent sample size. I've never really used any oils like this, so I'll look more into it and see how it feels before I commit. It smells really nice and the scent isn't strong at all! If I don't like it, I'll find someone who does!
4. GlamGlow BrightMud Eye Treatment
When I found out I was getting this, I wasn't that excited. I'm not a big fan of under-eye treatments and although I've heard really good things about it, they always seem to irritate them. I may give this to my mom and see what she says about it, but I don't think I'll be using it. The sample size given is 1 g / 0.035 fl. oz each (which we get 2 treatments) and is worth about $12. The full size is .42 fl.oz / 12 g and is $69.
5. Medusa's Makeup Safari Eye Shadow in Headhunter
Purple is a great color for green eyes, so I'm not mad! It's a pressed, mineral eyeshadow which is one of my favorite types. The pigment is pretty strong. I swatched it on my hand without a primer, with a primer and also the NYX Eye Stick in Milk to see how the color popped (All shown above!), and oh did the color pop! I'm actually kinda impressed, so I'll definitely hang onto this! This is a full size and is $8!
6. ModelCo. Blush Cheek Powder in Peach Bellini
I'm actually pretty impressed with this! Peach is a good color on me and the texture is amazing (Plus, Peach Bellini's are so delicious!)! It's super soft and pigmented and goes on very beautifully! It's $22 for a full size and this is (I'm guessing) about half. I'm completely content with this and I'm really glad to have gotten it!
Overall, this month was a decent bag. I'll get use out of a few, but I might donate or swap what I don't. The value this month was fairly high at about $60-$65.
