I get my Fightin' Texas Aggie Ring soon (Nov. 7th to be exact)!!!
I'm so excited to have my wonderful piece of gold on my hand!!!
I've also tried a LOT of new things this month and I'm more than excited to share it with you!!
1. NYX Natural Palette
Okay, so I'm obsessed with eyeshadow. It's a problem, but I'm totally okay with it! So I really like this palette. It has a great range of colors and they're all pretty neutral. The one thing about this palette that isn't my favorite is that it's a little chalky if you don't have the right brushes, but I've noticed that if you play with it for a while and layer, it turns out really well. Don't let that one minor thing turn you off of the palette because it's still a really great palette to have! They also have a few other palette sets, so MAYBE I can manage to grab another set sometime in the [near] future! (Also, here's a really great tutorial on a basic way to use it!)
2. Swing Baby by China Glaze
I've had this color for a while, but it's a serious go-to when I need a quick, subtle color. It's shimmery, so it stands out and it lasts a while without applying a top coat. I like to think of it as a silvery-taupe. What else I really like about this color is that it goes well with most everything (if not everything). It's such a gorgeous color and I get compliments on it all the time! I got this polish at Sally's, but I'm fairly certain you can get it just about anywhere.
3. Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum
Living in Texas, especially southern Texas, means hot weather for a good part of the year. Since I'm so very blessed with curly hair, I am constantly playing with products that I feel are budget friendly and worth while. Recently, I was reading a Buzzfeed article about hair product dupes and this was on the list! So I thought that I would give it a try and I actually am quiet surprised and impressed. After I put what product I use in my hair, I add a half pump to a pump of the serum and it helps tame my curls in the humidity! It also smells really great, so that's a plus! :)
4. Real Techniques Core Collection
I love Real Techniques. The brushes are soft, durable and affordable; especially if you buy them in a set. This collection comes with a Buffing Brush, Pointed Foundation Brush, Detailer Brush, and a Contour Brush. My personal favorite of this collection is the Buffing Brush. I use it for my liquid foundations and it helps give me a medium to full coverage. If you check out the Real Techniques website here, you can also find tutorials from the lovely ladies, Sam and Nic Chapman, on the different uses for each brush! I will be adding to my collection, so be on the lookout!
